RCC1 (Regulator of Chromosome Condensation 1)는 Ran에 결합된 GDP를 GTP로 교환하도록 촉진하는 구아닌 뉴클레오타이드 교환 인자입니다.
이 단백질은 S기 동안 염색체 응축의 개시 조절에 관여하며, 뉴클레오솜과 이중가닥 DNA 모두에 결합합니다.
RCC1-Ran 복합체는 복제되지 않은 DNA를 감지하는 신호전달 경로의 구성 요소로 작용하며, 핵-세포질 수송, 유사분열 및 핵막 형성에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
