Target Information
The TRPS1 gene encodes a transcription factor that represses GATA-regulated genes and binds to a dynein light chain protein. This interaction modulates binding to GATA consensus sequences and suppresses transcriptional activity. Mutations in this gene are associated with tricho-rhino-phalangeal syndrome (TRPS) types I–III.
