Target Information
Serum response factor (SRF) is a transcription factor that binds the serum response element (SRE), a sequence mediating transient gene responses to growth stimulation. SRF-binding sites also function as constitutive promoter elements in many muscle-specific promoters. SRF is required for cardiac differentiation and maturation.
