Target Information
CPA1 (Carboxypeptidase A1) is a 419 amino acid secreted monomeric protein highly expressed in pancreatic tissue. It functions as a zinc-dependent exopeptidase, catalyzing the release of C-terminal amino acids from proteins and playing a key role in protein digestion and degradation. CPA1 may also participate in zymogen inhibition, helping regulate enzyme activation pathways. Abnormal CPA1 levels are associated with pancreatic cancer, indicating potential involvement in tumor progression or suppression.
