Target Information
BAF60C is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins, which exhibit helicase and ATPase activities and regulate gene transcription by altering chromatin structure. The encoded protein is part of the large ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI and shares sequence similarity with the yeast Swp73 protein.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified for this gene, though the biological relevance of some variants remains undetermined.
