Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes a 30 kDa glycoprotein in immunoprecipitation and Western blotting assays.
Target Information
CD90.2 (Thy1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein member of the Immunoglobulin superfamily.
It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts.
Thy1 may play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other events in the brain.
CD90.2 is an 18 kDa plasma membrane antigen expressed by hematopoietic cells and neurons in all species studied.
It is highly expressed in connective tissue, various fibroblast and stromal cell lines, and tumor endothelial cell lines.
In the mouse, CD90.2 is expressed on all thymocytes and peripheral T lymphocytes.
