Target Information
CNSK1A1 (CK1 alpha 1) is a member of the casein kinase I (CKI) gene family encoding serine/threonine kinases that preferentially phosphorylate acidic substrates. CKI proteins are monomeric (25–55 kDa) and localized in nuclei, cytoplasm, and membrane fractions of eukaryotic cells.
It can phosphorylate multiple proteins and participates in Wnt signaling.
Phosphorylates CTNNB1 at Ser-45 and may also phosphorylate PER1 and PER2.
May play a role in chromosome segregation during mitosis.
