• In direct ELISAs, approximately 60% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-7 R alpha and less than 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-7 R alpha is observed.

Target Information

CD127 (Interleukin-7 receptor alpha, IL-7Rα) is a glycoprotein involved in the regulation of lymphopoiesis. The response of cells to CD127 depends on the presence of the IL7R complex, an alpha/gamma chain heterodimer.

• The gamma(c) chain, shared with the IL-2 receptor, primarily activates signal transduction by the IL7R complex.
• The alpha chain determines specific signaling events through association with cytoplasmic signaling molecules.
• CD127 promotes proliferation of precursor B cells, thymocytes, T cell progenitors, and mature CD4+ and CD8+ T cells.
• Dysfunction of CD127 is associated with severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and T cell negative/B cell negative/NK positive SCID.
