Target Information
TSLP (Thymic Stromal Lymphopoietin) is a 159-amino acid, four-helix bundle hemopoietic cytokine that signals through a heterodimeric receptor complex consisting of the TSLP receptor and IL-7R alpha chain.
It influences myeloid cells, induces chemokine release from monocytes, and promotes maturation of CD11c(+) dendritic cells and T cells into proallergic effectors.
TSLP also regulates the selection of regulatory T cells and maintains CD4(+) T cell homeostasis. It may contribute to allergic inflammation and inflammatory arthritis and is expressed in heart, liver, and prostate.
