Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 30% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-1 RII is observed.
- Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-1 RI, recombinant rat IL-1 Rrp2, rmIL-18 R, and rmIL-18 R beta is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The IL1R2 gene encodes a cytokine receptor belonging to the interleukin 1 receptor family.
This protein binds IL1A, IL1B, and IL1R1/IL1RA, acting as a decoy receptor that inhibits ligand activity.
IL4 antagonizes IL1 activity by inducing expression and release of IL1R2.
This gene forms part of a cytokine receptor cluster on chromosome 2q12.
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein are reported.
