Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a member of the B7 family. PD-L1 binds to programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1), which negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. When PD-L1 engages PD-1, it decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in many murine and human cancers and can be further up-regulated upon IFN-gamma stimulation. PD-L1 may play a crucial role in tumor immune evasion.
