Description:
The monoclonal rat IgG2a is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

Applications Reported:
This eBR2a antibody has been reported for use in immunohistochemical and immunocytochemical staining.

Applications Tested:
This Rat IgG2a Isotype Control eFluor™ 570 has been tested by immunocytochemistry on fixed and permeabilized C2C12 cells and by immunohistochemistry (IHC-P) on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded human tissue.
Use isotype control at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Filter Recommendation:
When using this eFluor™ 570 antibody conjugate, use a filter that captures the 570 nm emission wavelength (e.g., Excitation 545/25, 565LP, Emission 605/70).
A standard Alexa Fluor™ 555 or TRITC filter is acceptable.

Target Information

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass commonly used in research and diagnostic applications.
It is produced by the rat immune system and known for its ability to activate complement and mediate antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC).
Rat IgG2a has a molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa and consists of two heavy and two light chains.
