For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

This gene encodes the coagulation factor XIII A subunit, the last zymogen activated in the blood coagulation cascade.
Plasma factor XIII consists of 2 A subunits and 2 B subunits—the A subunits are catalytic, while the B subunits act as carrier molecules.
Platelet factor XIII contains only A subunits identical to plasma A subunits.
Upon activation by thrombin and calcium, the B subunits dissociate, yielding active factor XIIIa, which catalyzes gamma-glutamyl-epsilon-lysine crosslinking between fibrin molecules to stabilize clots.
Factor XIII also crosslinks α2-plasmin inhibitor and fibronectin to fibrin.
Deficiency types include:

• Type I: Lack of both A and B subunits
• Type II: Lack of A subunit only
  Defects may cause lifelong bleeding tendency, poor wound healing, and habitual abortion.
