Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
- For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
GBA encodes a lysosomal membrane enzyme that hydrolyzes the β-glucosidic linkage of glycosylceramide, a key intermediate in glycolipid metabolism.
Mutations in the GBA gene cause Gaucher disease, a lysosomal storage disorder characterized by accumulation of glucocerebrosides.
A related pseudogene is located approximately 12 kb downstream on chromosome 1.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
