Product Specific Information
The SJ25C1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells throughout development except in terminally differentiated plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. It forms a complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, associated with the BCR. Signaling through CD19 induces tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation. SJ25C1 and HIB19 recognize overlapping epitopes.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry on normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Fluorophore Characteristics:
Alexa Fluor® 532 is excited by the Green laser (532 nm) and emits at 561 nm. Not compatible with the Yellow-Green laser (561 nm). Recommended filter: 560/14 band pass.

Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 functions as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and regulates B cell activation and proliferation. Mutations can cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
