Target Information
Andes Virus Glycoprotein, including Gn (G1) and Gc (G2), are envelope proteins of the Andes virus (ANDV), a rodent-borne hantavirus belonging to the family Bunyaviridae. This enveloped, negative-sense RNA virus has a tripartite genome and can cause hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS). It was originally isolated from an infected Oligoryzomys longicaudatus rodent in Chile and shows high similarity to the Sin Nombre virus (SNV).
