Target Information
IL-13은 활성화된 Th2 세포에서 주로 생성되는 면역조절성 사이토카인으로, 염증 및 면역 반응 조절에 관여합니다.
IL-13은 대식세포 활성을 억제하여 염증성 사이토카인 및 케모카인의 생성을 감소시키며, IgE 및 호산구와 독립적인 메커니즘을 통해 알레르기성 천식에 관여합니다. 또한 B 세포의 성숙 및 분화 단계 조절, CD23 및 MHC class II 발현 증가, IgE 동형 전환을 유도합니다.
구조적으로 IL-13은 IL-3, IL-4, IL-5, GM-CSF와 유사하며, IL13, IL3, IL5, IL4, CSF2 유전자는 염색체 5q의 사이토카인 유전자 클러스터에 위치합니다.
