Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human FGF-16. Anti-Human FGF-16-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human FGF-16 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human FGF-16 (500-P160G) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human FGF-16.

Western Blot:
To detect hFGF-16 by Western blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hFGF-16 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

FGF-16 is a heparin-binding growth factor and a member of the FGF family. These proteins play a central role during prenatal development, postnatal growth, and regeneration of various tissues by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-16 signals through FGFR 2c and 3c and plays a role in the development of the central nervous system.
