Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine IGF-I. Anti-Murine IGF-I-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect mIGF-I by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine IGF-I (500-P157G) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant mIGF-I.

Western Blot:
To detect mIGF-I by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant mIGF-I is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

IGF1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1)
IGF1 is structurally and functionally related to insulin but exhibits stronger growth-promoting activity. It induces cellular responses such as proliferation, differentiation, migration, and survival. IGF1 stimulates glucose transport in osteoblastic cells and enhances glycogen and DNA synthesis. In circulation, IGFs bind to IGFBPs, which prolong their half-life and aid in tissue delivery. IGF-I is a potent activator of the AKT signaling pathway, promoting proliferation and inhibiting apoptosis. Mature human IGF-I shares 100% homology with bovine and porcine proteins. Low IGF1 levels have been associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Defects in the IGF1 gene cause insulin-like growth factor 1 deficiency, with multiple isoforms identified.
