Target Information
YY1 is a ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins. It regulates transcription by repressing or activating diverse promoters and may recruit histone deacetylases or acetyltransferases to modulate promoter activity, linking YY1 function to histone modification.
