Target Information
Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor associated factors (TRAFs) are adaptor proteins linking TNF receptor superfamily to signaling pathways, regulating cell death and stress response. TRAF2 and TRAF3 bind CD40 and are critical for NF-kappa-B activation in mouse B lymphocytes. TRAF2, together with TRAF6, is required for CD40 signaling in nonhemopoietic cells and interacts with lymphotoxin-beta receptor (LTbetaR) along with TRAF3 and apoptosis inhibitors cIAP1 and Smac.
