Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended.

Target Information

SSX2 belongs to the family of highly homologous synovial sarcoma X (SSX) breakpoint proteins, which may function as transcriptional repressors.
These proteins can elicit spontaneous humoral and cellular immune responses in cancer patients, making them potential targets for cancer vaccine-based immunotherapy.
SSX1, SSX2, and SSX4 genes are involved in the t(X;18) translocation found in all synovial sarcomas, resulting in fusion with the synovial sarcoma translocation gene on chromosome 18.
The resulting hybrid proteins are likely responsible for transforming activity. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.
