Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
EIF4E is a eukaryotic translation initiation factor involved in directing ribosomes to the 5′ cap structure of mRNAs. It plays roles in translational efficiency, splicing, mRNA stability, and RNA nuclear export.
EIF4E exists as a free form and as part of the EIF4F complex (with EIF4A and EIF4G). It is the rate-limiting component in the mRNA-ribosome binding step of protein synthesis.
