The mouse IgM is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin. It was generated by immunization with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and is reactive with LPS.
Applications Reported:
This mouse IgM isotype control has been reported for use in immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Mouse IgM Isotype Control Purified has been tested by flow cytometric analysis. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Aggregation: Less than 10%, as determined by HPLC.

Target Information
Mouse IgM is an immunoglobulin M antibody produced by B cells in response to an antigen. It is the first antibody produced during an immune response and the largest immunoglobulin in serum. Composed of five heavy and five light chains, Mouse IgM participates in complement activation and antigen agglutination. It plays a crucial role in the innate immune response and is important for neutralizing pathogens before the adaptive immune response is fully activated. Mouse IgM is widely used in research and diagnostic applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
