Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

HERC5 (E3 ISG15 - protein ligase HERC5) is a major E3 ligase for ISG15 conjugation and acts as a positive regulator of the innate antiviral response induced by interferon.
It functions as part of the ISGylation machinery that recognizes target proteins broadly and catalyzes ISGylation of IRF3, leading to sustained activation.
HERC5 also attenuates IRF3-PIN1 interaction, which prevents IRF3 ubiquitination and degradation, thereby enhancing antiviral response.
It is physically associated with polyribosomes and modifies newly synthesized proteins cotranslationally.
