Target Information
CSK is a tyrosine kinase that downregulates SRC oncoprotein activity by phosphorylating its carboxy terminus. The CSK gene may act as an antioncogene, regulating cell growth, differentiation, migration, and immune responses.
CSK phosphorylates tyrosine residues in the C-terminal tails of Src-family kinases such as LCK, SRC, HCK, FYN, LYN, CSK, and YES1. It is expressed ubiquitously (~50 kDa) in cytosol, with a fraction localized to lipid rafts via interaction with PAG (Csk-binding protein).
