This antibody detects endogenous levels of CYLD only when phosphorylated at Ser422.
Target Information
CYLD is a 956 amino acid cytoplasmic deubiquitinating enzyme belonging to the ubiquitin carboxy-terminal hydrolases (UCH) family. It contains three CAP-GLY domains, a proline-rich region, an SH3 binding domain, and a catalytic domain homologous to UCH. CYLD functions as a tumor suppressor affecting the JNK signaling pathway and negatively regulates TRAF2 and NF-κB signaling. It also plays a receptor-dependent role in regulating the I-κB kinase pathway and exhibits deubiquitinating activity toward non-Lys-48-linked polyubiquitin chains. Mutations in CYLD are associated with cylindromatosis, multiple familial trichoepithelioma, and Brooke-Spiegler syndrome.
