Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

Troponin (Tn) is the central regulatory protein of striated muscle contraction. It consists of three components:

  • Tn-I: Inhibitor of actomyosin ATPase
  • Tn-T: Contains the binding site for tropomyosin
  • Tn-C: Binds calcium ions

The binding of calcium to Tn-C abolishes the inhibitory action of Tn on actin filaments. This calcium-ion uptake by troponin-C induces a series of allosteric changes in the muscle thin filament, enabling actin–myosin interaction, ATP hydrolysis, and tension generation.
