Target Information
Hepatitis B virus (HBV)는 급성 및 만성 간 질환의 주요 원인 중 하나로, 혈액을 통해 전파되는 가장 흔한 바이러스성 간염입니다. HBV는 직경 약 42 nm의 구형 바이러스로, 27 nm의 부분 이중가닥 DNA 핵심을 지질단백질 외피가 둘러싸고 있습니다.
핵심 항원의 항원성은 Hepatitis B core antigen으로, 외피 항원은 Hepatitis B surface antigen으로 불립니다. 핵심 항원은 감염된 세포의 핵 내에, 표면 항원은 세포질 내에 존재합니다.
표면 항체는 감염 초기에 혈중에서 검출되며, 핵심 항체는 감염 후 수 주가 지나야 검출됩니다. 전 세계적으로 약 4억 명의 HBV 보유자가 있으며, 이는 인류에서 가장 흔한 병원체 중 하나입니다.
HBV 감염은 예방의학에서 중요한 백신 접종 대상이며, 약 30개국에서 모든 아동에게 예방접종이 권장됩니다.
