Target Information
LDL 관련 단백질인 LRP5와 LRP6은 LDL 수용체 초가족에 속하며, canonical Wnt 신호전달 경로에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 포유류 LRP6은 Wnt1과 결합하여 Xenopus 배아에서 Wnt 유도 발달 과정을 촉진합니다. LRP6이 결핍된 마우스는 다양한 Wnt 단백질 결핍 시 나타나는 발달 결함과 유사한 현상을 보입니다. 최근 연구에서는 Wnt 단백질이 LRP5와 Axin의 결합을 유도하여 Axin 분해 및 β-catenin 안정화를 초래함이 밝혀졌습니다.
