Reconstitute antibody with 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW). The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Potassium channels are ubiquitously expressed proteins that perform various functions in excitable and non-excitable cells. The large conductance, calcium-activated potassium channel (Maxi K+) is unique in being activated by both intracellular calcium increase and membrane depolarization. Its structure includes a voltage sensor and calcium binding domain. In vascular smooth muscle, a β-subunit associates in a 1:1 ratio, reducing by 5–10 fold the calcium concentration needed to keep the pore open.
