Product Specific Information

The BC96 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD25, the 55 kDa interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL-2R alpha). CD25 is expressed by early progenitors of T and B lineage as well as by activated mature T and B lymphocytes. CD25 binds IL-2 with low affinity alone but forms a high-affinity receptor when associated with CD122 and CD132. It plays a role in lymphocyte differentiation and activation/proliferation.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (100 µL total volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 805 (BUV805) emits at 797 nm, suitable for instruments with a 355 nm ultraviolet laser. Protect from light.

Staining Buffer Recommendation:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401) or Brilliant Stain Buffer (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark. BUV805 is compatible with short-term methanol fixation (<1 hour).

Target Information

CD25 (IL2 receptor alpha chain/IL2RA) is a cytokine receptor involved in T and B lymphocyte proliferation. It forms a high-affinity receptor complex with IL2RB and IL2RG. IL2 plays key roles in immune regulation, promoting T and B cell growth, NK cell activity, and inhibiting granulocyte macrophage colony formation. Mutations in IL2RA are associated with immune dysregulation disorders.
