Target Information

Ubiquitination involves three classes of enzymes:
- Ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s)
- Ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s)
- Ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s)
The UBE2A gene encodes an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme required for post-replicative DNA damage repair.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, encoding distinct isoforms.
