Specificity: The antibody binds specifically to the pentapeptide FEDVW of the Duffy receptor.
Target Information
ACKR1 (also known as DARC) is an atypical chemokine receptor that regulates chemokine levels and localization through high-affinity binding, independent of traditional signal transduction pathways. This leads to chemokine sequestration, degradation, or transcytosis.
ACKR1 is referred to as an interceptor or chemokine-scavenging receptor, showing broad binding to inflammatory chemokines of both CXC and CC subfamilies, excluding homeostatic chemokines.
It acts as a receptor for chemokines including CCL2, CCL5, CCL7, CCL11, CCL13, CCL14, CCL17, CXCL5, CXCL6, IL8/CXCL8, CXCL11, GRO, RANTES, MCP-1, TARC, and also for malaria parasites P. vivax and P. knowlesi.
