Specificity: The antibody binds specifically to the pentapeptide FEDVW of the Duffy receptor.
Target Information
ACKR1 (DARC) is an atypical chemokine receptor that regulates chemokine levels and localization through high-affinity binding, independent of classical signal transduction pathways. It functions in chemokine sequestration, degradation, or transcytosis. Known as a chemokine-scavenging or decoy receptor, ACKR1 interacts with inflammatory chemokines of both CXC and CC subfamilies, excluding homeostatic chemokines. It also serves as a receptor for chemokines such as CCL2, CCL5, CCL7, CCL11, CCL13, CCL14, CCL17, CXCL5, CXCL6, IL8/CXCL8, CXCL11, GRO, RANTES, MCP-1, TARC, and for malaria parasites P. vivax and P. knowlesi.
