Description:
The 390 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD31 (PECAM-1, gpIIa), a 130–140 kDa surface protein expressed by endothelial cells and at low levels on all leukocytes and platelets. CD31 mediates homotypic interactions important for adhesion, cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, and signal transduction.
Applications Reported:
This antibody is validated for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested on mouse thymocytes and splenocytes for flow cytometry. Recommended ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize titration for best performance.

Target Information
CD31 (PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor regulating T and B cell signaling through ITIM motifs. Expressed ubiquitously within the vascular compartment, mainly at intercellular junctions, CD31 mediates homophilic binding crucial for cell-cell interactions. It plays roles in integrin-mediated adhesion, transendothelial migration, angiogenesis, apoptosis, immune regulation, and thrombosis, functioning as a key vascular regulatory molecule.
