Product Specific Information

The 4H11 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD34, also known as mucosialin. CD34 is a single-pass transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on hematopoietic progenitors and certain mesenchymal stem cells, tumor cell lines, and vascular endothelia.
The 4H11 antibody belongs to class III epitopes, reacting with a protein epitope.
Applications reported include flow cytometric analysis.
Pre-titrated for use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
Filtered at 0.2 µm post-manufacturing.

Target Information

CD34 is a highly glycosylated monomeric surface protein (111–115 kDa) expressed on various stem cell populations. It functions as a stem cell marker and may act as an adhesion molecule mediating attachment to bone marrow matrix or stromal cells.
CD34 expression correlates with specific hematopoietic developmental states, influencing adhesion, differentiation, and proliferation.
It may present carbohydrate ligands to selectins and is phosphorylated by activated protein kinase C, suggesting a role in signal transduction.
Diseases associated with CD34 dysfunction include dermatofibrosarcoma and neurofibroma.
