Product Specific Information
Clone M088 mouse monoclonal antibody detects native human EphA2 and aldehyde-fixed EphA2.
It is suitable for staining in immunocytochemistry, capture and detection in ELISA, and native immunoprecipitation assays.
Target Information
EPHA2 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein tyrosine kinase family.
Ephrin receptors are involved in developmental events, particularly in the nervous system.
EPHA2 is overexpressed in many human cancers and plays a key role in regulating cell-cell interactions such as differentiation, adhesion, motility, and apoptosis.
There are approximately 90 tyrosine kinase (TK) genes identified, including receptor TKs (EGFR, EPH, FGFR, PDGFR, TRK, VEGFR families) and cytosolic TKs (ABL, FAK, JAK, SRC families).
