Target Information

TPCN1 may function as one of the major voltage-gated Ca²⁺ channels (VDCC) across the plasma membrane.
Voltage-gated Ca²⁺ and Na⁺ channels have four homologous domains, each containing six transmembrane segments (S1–S6).
TPCN1 is similar to these channels but contains only two domains with S1–S6 (Ishibashi et al., 2000).
