RALA는 다양한 세포 과정(유전자 발현, 세포 이동, 증식, 종양 변형, 막 수송 등)에 관여하는 다기능 GTPase입니다. GTP 의존적 분비, 세포질 분열 초기 단계, exocyst 복합체 tethering, integrin 의존적 막 소포 분비 및 성장 신호 조절에 중요한 역할을 수행합니다. 또한 LPAR1 신호 조절에 관여하며 GRK2와 경쟁적으로 LPAR1에 결합하여 수용체의 신호 특성에 영향을 미칩니다.
