Product Specific Information
The antibody detects a 215 kDa protein corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of MYH4 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of mouse extraocular muscle and mouse C2C12 cells. The antibody may also detect other skeletal MYHs, such as MYH1 and MYH2, which have significant homology to the C-terminal region of MYH4.
Target Information
The target protein includes a fast myosin isoform expressed in skeletal muscle and is involved in muscle contraction.
