Target Information
Methamphetamine is an amphetamine with central nervous system (CNS) stimulating activity. It facilitates the release of catecholamines—particularly noradrenaline, dopamine, and serotonin—from nerve terminals in the brain and inhibits their uptake. This leads to increased synaptic concentrations of these neurotransmitters and enhanced stimulation of postsynaptic receptors.
