Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising approximately 10% of all surface proteins in lymphocytes. It is absent on non-hematopoietic cells and tissues. CD45 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases and JAK kinases. It promotes cell survival by modulating integrin-mediated signaling, apoptosis, and various immune functions. CD45 exists in multiple isoforms due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions.
