Target Information
Lutheran blood group glycoprotein은 immunoglobulin superfamily에 속하며, extracellular matrix protein인 laminin의 수용체 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 5개의 N-말단 extracellular immunoglobulin domain, 하나의 transmembrane domain, 짧은 C-terminal cytoplasmic tail을 포함합니다.
BCAM은 epithelial cell cancer 및 sickle cell disease에서 적혈구의 혈관 폐색에 관여할 수 있습니다.
두 가지 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화하는 transcript variant가 보고되었습니다.
