Product Specific Information

Description:
The M1/69 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD24 molecule (Heat Stable Antigen, HSA). This 35–50 kDa molecule is anchored via phosphatidylinositol and expressed by erythrocytes, thymocytes, peripheral lymphocytes, and myeloid lineage. CD24 is variably glycosylated, resulting in heterogeneity of molecular mass across lineages. It is used to resolve stages of B lymphopoiesis in mouse bone marrow and has been reported to bind P-selectin (CD62P).

Applications Reported:
Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested on mouse splenocytes and thymocytes. Use ≤0.03 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Recommended to titrate for optimal performance. Typical cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Light Sensitivity:
Tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-822-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Excitation/Emission:
488–561 nm / 667 nm; compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD24 is a GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed at multiple stages of B-cell development, from pro-B cells to mature surface Ig-positive B cells. Expression is low or absent in plasma cells. It is also found in most B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemias, B-cell CCLs, and B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. CD24 may regulate B-cell proliferation, maturation, and autoimmunity.
