Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 15% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) E-Selectin, 5% with recombinant human (rh) E-Selectin, and <1% with rmL-Selectin and rmP-Selectin observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
Leukocytes adhere to the blood vessel endothelium during extravasation in postcapillary venules of lymph nodes. Leukocyte adhesion occurs in capillaries and small venules after inflammation onset, involving adhesion receptor cascades. Selectins, as C-type cell surface lectins, mediate leukocyte adhesion to endothelial surfaces.
E-selectin (CD62E) is expressed by endothelial cells only after activation by proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1, TNFα, or bacterial components like lipopolysaccharides via an NFκB-dependent pathway.
E-selectin is associated with vascular endothelium in various inflammatory conditions.
