Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene located on human chromosome 11. NF-kB p65, also known as RelA, belongs to the Rel family of transcription factors and forms heterodimers with p50 or p52 subunits. Activation of NF-kB occurs through TNFα-mediated phosphorylation of IKK, leading to degradation of IκB and nuclear translocation of NF-kB. It plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin κ gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
