Target Information
TAK1 (also known as MAP3K7) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in multiple signaling pathways. Originally identified as a TGF-β activated kinase, TAK1 interacts with TGF-β receptor and TRAF6 to modulate JNK and p38 activation. It also participates in Wnt, BMP, activin, and other stress-related signaling pathways. TAK1 regulates wound healing, IKK activation, and cellular lifespan through phosphorylation and ubiquitination mechanisms.
