Target Information
AKT2 is a phosphoinositide-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase enriched in insulin-responsive tissues and involved in metabolic actions of insulin. It participates in cellular signaling pathways initiated by growth factor receptors activating PI3K. Akt2 is amplified and overexpressed in some human cancers.
