Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of a family of neural-specific, zinc finger-containing DNA-binding proteins.
This kinase preferentially phosphorylates and inactivates CDC2, negatively regulating the G2/M transition of the cell cycle.
It remains membrane-associated throughout the cell cycle and is regulated by kinases such as AKT1/PKB and PLK.
Alternative splicing produces distinct isoforms.
The protein binds promoter regions of proteolipid proteins in the CNS, contributing to nervous system development.
